2022 Year-End ECOMI News | OMI Token Portal and VeVe Web App New Features

2022 Year-End

2022 was a memorable year for ECOMI and VeVe.

From the launch of the OMI token portal and OMI utility program to the 1 year anniversary of DesignerCon Anaheim and a first look (and walkaround!) of the VeVeVerse and Tengoku Senso, there was truly no shortage of celebration and excitement to cap off another incredible year.

The ECOMI ecosystem has grown a lot since its inception, and after migrating to a new blockchain in early 2022, we recognised that this migration also led to a fracturing of information across our resources and social sites.

The OMI Token Portal is designed to bring all of these details back into one central location so that any members of the Fam can easily find and reference it as needed. It is also a great place to send your friends and Family to if they want to learn more about the OMI token, and where they can be used in our products.

In the OMI Token Portal, you will find all of the basic token information and community resources, including:

Over time ECOMI will refine these resources to ensure that they contain the most up-to-date information about the token and wider ECOMI ecosystem. ECOMI will also continue to list any upcoming AMAs and interviews on the homepage, and post recordings as they become available, so be sure to bookmark the portal to join them for those events.

The OMI Utility Program (OUP) is now available in the OMI Token Portal and outlines the intended integration of the OMI token into the VeVe digital collectibles ecosystem.

When available, these features will be integrated into the VeVe web app (only), and offer token holders a range of fun ways to use their OMI in order to build their VeVe digital collections.

The OUP is designed to re-introduce sustainable token functionality while providing a range of new uses (utilities) for the OMI token. Token holders will be able to use their OMI as a transactional currency in the VeVe app or stake them for a range of benefits, rewards, and in-app perks, all while permanently deflating the circulating supply of OMI tokens. 🔥

In short, the OUP is designed to:

  • Increase the awareness of, demand for, and adoption of the OMI token through a variety of in-app perks and benefits
  • Provide token holders with a range of uses for their tokens within VeVe
  • Reward said token holders with a range of in-app perks and benefits
  • Increase the token’s usefulness across the ecosystem
  • Introduce the OMI token to ‘non-crypto’ platform users
  • Permanently deflate the total token supply over time, from both the circulating and non-circulating supply of OMI tokens.

There is a lot of information to digest in the OUP, and whilst it may appear intimidating at a first glance, it’s important to remember these functions will all be hidden from the end user. When these features are live, using OMI in-app will be as seamless and simple to understand as everything else in VeVe ✅

You will also find a development roadmap which ECOMI will periodically update as development progresses, as well as feedback forms so that they can optimize the token portal and OUP to make it as simple to understand and reference as possible.

If you haven’t seen it yet get started with othe walkthrough video below, and catch up on their recent AMAs and interviews to answer any lingering questions you may still have.

First previewed at DesignerCon Anaheim, Tengoku Senso is an indie-adventure hack-and-slash game that uses modern technologies such as non-fungible tokens to create a fun and immersive gameplay experience where you actually own your in-game items and assets.

Not only can these items be traded within the Tengoku ecosystem using OMI tokens, but users will also be able to acquire new weapons and armor, level up their characters and skills to progress through the game more quickly, and even earn OMI tokens through gameplay!

With new levels/chapters being added each quarter throughout the year, Tengoku Senso will continue to evolve, and will initially be available to play on your PC.

We will also release more information on the game and its tokenomic system closer to the public release. If you would like to assist in the beta testing phase (early 2023) please join their discord server to get in touch with the team, and follow them on Twitter for the latest updates and gameplay previews 🐦

DesignerCon Anaheim marked the one-year anniversary of their first IRL event, and they were truly humbled by the community turnout and participation across the weekend.

The VeVe booth was easily the most popular and populated at the event, and a huge thanks go to all of their artist partners who dropped by for signings, and everyone in the Fam who shared in the weekend’s excitement and events.

Special thanks also go out to everyone who helped to set up, pack down, and ensure that the weekend events ran as smoothly as possible.

A whole host of VeVe merch and memorabilia was available throughout the weekend, including exclusive products for gold and silver logo holders, Simone Legno’s Dragon Girl Statues, Ron English’s Rabbit Grin, and two phygital bundles thanks to Jermaine Rogers and Frank Kozik.

They had a jam-packed schedule throughout DesignerCon, with artist signings, collectible drops, a live demo of the VeVeVerse and Tengoku Senso, two new license reveals and of course- the VeVe afterparty!

Crypto Pay-In (Crypto to Gem)

Crypto Pay-In is a new feature allowing users to purchase Gems using some large-cap digital assets and stablecoins. You will do this through the VeVe web app, and the process is similar to purchasing Gems using a Credit Card.

VeVe Collectors will also have the choice of 5 tokens to “pay-in” with: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USDT, USDC, and Binance USD (bUSD).

⚠️ ALL of these tokens, excluding BTC, are only available to send on the Ethereum network (erc20 tokens). Please do not use other blockchains to send these tokens as they will not be recoverable.

Merging Accounts

A number of users have been waiting to consolidate their accounts and merge their assets under one username. This will soon be available through the merge accounts feature, and users will be able to consolidate a maximum of 4 accounts into their main username (5 total).

⚠️ If you currently hold OMI tokens in your VeVe app wallets and wish to combine one or more of those accounts, you MUST withdraw your OMI before you merge. Keep an eye on the ECOMI blog for instructions on how to do so, or visit the OMI Token Portal to withdraw to your personal wallets.
